Kannery PC2thin Recycling Module
Moving to Server Based Computing?
Running Windows2003 TerminalServer?
Up to now you had two options:
- Buy a relatively expensive ThinClient
- Keep and maintain your old Windows OS on your current PCs
Kannery introduces a third option:
“Recycling instead of Upgrading”
The Kannery PC2thin recycling module replaces the hard-disk on your current old PCs, and turns them into high-end Thin Clients, with three distinct advantages:
- No software maintenance on the work stations
- Lower price
- Better graphics cards than most ThinClients
The whole recycling process takes about 5-6 minutes:
Remove the Hard-Disk cable from the PC board

Insert the PC2thin Module (which is actually a Flash based Hard-Disk with no moving parts)

Configure the module through its console, entering data like which TerminalServer it should point to, and other parameters such as sound and local drives.
You’re now ready to connect to Windows based TerminalServers using the RDP protocol, or to Unix/Linux servers using the XDMCP protocol.
When ordering in large quantities, we’ll even per-configure the modules to your requirements, like the address of the TerminalServer, accessing local drives, turn sound on/off, etc. With a fully configured module, the work that has to be done is hardware only, simply install the units, with nothing to configure on the software side of the ThinClient. This is a 2-3 minutse operation.
